This video is brutal and infuriating. And it speaks directly to the urgent need for mental health professionals to be the 1st responders in situations involving individuals in crisis.

These officers made no attempt to deescalate the situation. Win Rozario should be alive today.

What’s happening tonight at
Columbia University University and City College of NY is a travesty and a violation of both student and human rights.

This is a shameful day.

In a city with deep poverty, closing hospitals, and an extreme affordable housing crisis, countless NYPD officers were sent to raid and draw weapons on protesting college kids. That decision has nothing to do with keeping students safe.

Passover then and now.

As I reflect on the liberation Passover represents, I think of the tradition of struggle and strength that Judaism represents to me. It is not enough that some of us are free.

A prayer for peace and liberation for all, this season and beyond 🙏💙
