Parents of children with complex medical needs have enough to worry about, and passing AKACA would allow them to better focus on their child instead of waiting for provider paperwork before traveling across state lines for specialized care. #AKAC

Children who experience a recurrence of their blood cancer require immediate specialized care, usually at a large children's hospital, often located outside their home state. Some treatments, such as pediatric bone marrow transplants, are not available in every state. #AKAC

Children cannot afford to wait for paperwork processes to receive potentially life-saving care. One advocate, J.J., took her son from CA to TX for a clinical trial. It was the only option left, but after the paperwork delays, it was too little, too late. #AKAC
