I’m proud that, in the run-up to my election, a motley crew of us set up Labour For Trans Rights, undeterred by the culture developing at the time.

I’m proud that NLS has taken a stand against transphobic Labour MPs, calling for the most egregious to lose the Labour whip.

My final week as Labour Students Trans Officer, the first role like it in the Labour Party structures.

Many of you will appreciate how bad it can get: death threats, insults, going after those you care about. It can be tough.

But I don’t regret it for a minute… 🏳️‍⚧️🧵

Fantastic day speaking at the #TradeUnionsforTransRightsNetwork meeting in Manchester.

It’s so important to bring the labour movement together in allyship with the trans community - thank you to Trades Union Congress for bringing us together.

This is so very important. Trans rights has support in young and online spaces, but is ignored elsewhere.

CLPs and unions are important places to talk to people about the importance of trans rights, and broaden the coalition for change.
