A Jackdaw having a bath yesterday. They always seem to wash their beaks/faces first. He/she briefly leaves then decides to pop back in again to finish off. Sound on!

For I found Early Dog Violet today on a road verge in my village near Faversham. Pointy sepals and tiny sepal appendages distinguishing them from Sweet violets and Common dog violets respectively.

This handmade branch with wren is full of catkins which have all been wired so you can pose them with a little twist or let them hang straight. I love seeing their pops of yellow in the hedgerow & the way they shake like little lamb’s tails in the wind
