Visited the Muranga Lands Registry today to inspect the progress of the digitization exercise. 90 percent of parcels in the county have been digitized and the #Ardhisasa system is ready to go live in the next few weeks. Congratulations to the teams.

The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning is ready to launch Ardhisasa in Murang'a County. Lands PS Generali Nixon Korir said that the Ministry is ready to launch the Ardhisasa system in the County in a few days time.

Land CS Hon. Alice Wahome this morning presided over the launch of the Ministry's Strategic Plan for the period 2023-2027. The CS was accompanied by PSs Hon. Generali Nixon Korir (Lands and Physical Planning), Joel Arumonyang (Public Works) and Charles Hinga (Housing).

The Strategic Plan will promote job and wealth creation through affordable housing, security land tenure, enhanced revenue collection, and sector value chains promoting the country's national Gross Domestic Product(GDP) for improved livelihoods.

The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning has started digitizing land records in Isiolo Lands registry. Meanwhile, digitization of land records is nearing completion in Murang'a County with plans to roll out the exercise in Mavoko and Mombasa

Digitization of land records entails construction of a Document Management System (DMS) for managing land title records including scanning, indexing, and archiving deed files among other digital operations. The Isiolo team is led by Acting Lands Secretary Sarah Maina.
