Forget the Great British Sewing Bee, we have the Great Lilycroft Sewing Bee. Here are some of the amazing items our children have made in our after-school sewing club.

Reception learnt about how to be safe when using the internet. They completed an activity where they had to think about 5 people who they could go to if we were unsure about anything online or they needed help.

Great to work with parents and our school Mental Health Support team BDCFT NHS and learn about how we can offer support for families across our community. #MentalHealthAwareness

Year 2 went on a habitat walk to Lister Park. We spotted lots of living plants and animals. 🦆🐿️🌳Whilst we were there, we also looked at ways we can look after our local environment and did some litter picking. 🚮

Our Commando Joe's leader has turned up to school dressed as an Antarctic explorer and challenged our Year 6 children to work together to tackle obstacles on their journey across the frozen landscape.

We have poets in our Year 2! These children have a 'talent for writing' & each received a certificate for the poems they submitted to a Young Writers competition. Their work is going to be published in a Young Writers poetry anthology. We are very proud of them.
