It is cute that this makes a noise similar to a modem when moving ROMs via RS232, but for a 512KB ROM at 11KB/sec I turned that off before it gave me a headache! 🙂

Submitted an absentee bid at a local auction and won this lot. Not seen this DFS interface before. I'm also guessing Inter Word is sitting on some kind of page switch board. Will be interesting to see if it works.

Setup ready for day 2 of the BBC Micro course I'm teaching 🙂

I've been looking to get one of these for a while. A boxed Dataman S4 EPROM programmer. It connects via RS232, so no special software needed. It is also battery powered, so it can read/write/clone EPROMs away from my test bench. Also has built-in RAM and an EPROM emulator cable.

It has taken me many evenings, but I have finally tested and sorted a large haul of BBC Micro chips I've received into 39 trays.

One of the coolest things about the programming course I'm giving? Over half the students are girls. Hopefully I'm helping to inspire some much needed female developers of the future.

Thought I'd print some little gifts for the kids. Print settings weren't perfect, and I could do with a finer nozzle, but it should be good enough 🙂

Two BBC Micros, two BBC Masters, a Valiant Turtle and a whole bunch of cables and accessories. Ready for use teaching tomorrow's course.

My course teaching kids BBC BASIC starts tomorrow. Equipment check this morning showed that one BBC Master had messed up settings and a key that needed desoldering / disassembling to repair. Going well so far... 🙄

My stand will be right in the middle. I'll have several new designs for Amiga parts, as well as some surprises this year.
One of the surprises RMCretro (Neil) and my wife discussed last year, and we've made it happen 🙂

I have a whole bunch of ICs for retro computers to sell soon (RAM, custom chips, etc...). I wanted the pins to be protected when posting, so, I created this 🙂
There is a wide DIP version too. Both needs a little bit of tweaking, but they work quite well.
