Sharing a little fox I made for my Sculpture Sunday. This is made out of white stoneware, and then ash fired in our driveway. There really is nothing more fun than standing over a burn barrel in the backyard, listening to the spring birds as we burn pots. Dave is my smoke man.

Just a little more puppy love to share today.

I'm trying to get back to Sculpture Sundays, playing and recharging with clay. This is one of my favorite ash fire vessels so far (about 16 inches tall). There is so much one can't control when smoking a pot to get the dark patina, but I love how this one turned out.

I'm getting excited about my book, 'DOGS: A History of Our Best Friends' coming out soon! I drew way more dogs than could ever fit in one book, so I'll be sharing some of my warm up sketches in coming days as the calendar winds down to release day next month.
