For forty-three years, the families of the victims of the Stardust fire faced the contempt of the state. Their fight for truth and justice was blocked again and again.

They faced it all and they never gave in.

Thinking of my good friend Margarita and the wider O'Hare family today on what is undoubtedly another very difficult day as they reflect on what would have been their beloved sister, Majella's, 60th birthday. ❤️

Remembering Majella O Hare, shot dead by the British Army on the 14th August 1976.
Majella was just 12yrs of age.

Today would have been her 60th Birthday.

Thinking especially of my friends the O Hare family on this day

Tonight “Murder of a GAA Chairman” airs on RTÉ One at 9:35pm

It examines the investigation into our late chairman Sean Brown’s murder and how the Brown family has been left campaigning for truth behind unanswered questions.

In May 1997, Sean Brown was abducted and murdered while locking up the gates of his GAA club.

27 years later, his family are still searching for answers.
