It’s important to remember that this guide is not a perfect way to spot whether someone is or isn’t a Neo-Nazi. While you should keep an eye on anyone wearing or displaying these symbols regularly, loads of far right activists will never be seen in public next to them. 4/

Pepe the frog for example is/was one of a number of symbols used mainly by the far right but also normal people. Part of the point is to confuse people trying to spot fascists so it’s harder to remove them and they can normalise more extreme symbols and language. 3/

This guide is not a full one, the fascist movement, like any movement is constantly evolving and shifting. Some symbols can get picked up and used overnight and others can suddenly get dropped without warning. 2/
