Royal Historical Society is reviewing the proposals and notes a number of concerns and questions. We will be submitting a formal response to REF 2029 by 17 June deadline 1/3

We have been asked to provide clarity on the REF2029 position on trade books. We confirm that trade books are out of scope in the REF2029 Open Access Policy and are therefore not subject to open access requirements. The consultation and website are updated ref.ac.uk/guidance/ref-2…

The Society will offer further information on REF's proposals for #OpenAccess requirements in the near future.

The Society will look especially at the proposed inclusion of monographs and edited collections in REF2029.

One topic attracting attention so far is the status of trade books. This afternoon REF 2029 has issued an update on its website, confirming trade books will be exempt 2/3
