Golden West College has announced it is dropping its men’s and women’s basketball programs.

On May 8th, the Moorpark College Foundation along with Athletics honored the late Football Coach Jim Bittner with a memorial plaque. President Sokenu spoke & presented the plaque as Jim Jr & daughter Mary did the unveiling.

Congratulations going out to Men's Track Jordan Navarro for being named Moorpark College's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. Jordan was third in the Decathlon at Southern California Finals and qualified for the State Meet.

Congrats going out to Women's Track Ava Ball for being named Moorpark College's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Ava led the Women's team to a WSC Championship, first since 2006. She was also the WSC Champ in the 400m Hurdles, Pole Vault, and lead for the 4x100m relay.

Congratulations going out to Men's Basketball Jack Benyshek for being named Moorpark College's Male Athlete of the Year. Jack led his team to a WSC North Championship and was named WSC North Player of Year. He was also named to the All-State Team

Congrats going out to Women's Basketball Rebecca Saidoff for being Moorpark College's Female Athlete of the Year. Rebecca led her team to a WSC North Championship, was named WSCN Player of the Year and named All-State 1st Team. She also led the Raiders to 3C2A State Semi-finals.

Congrats going out to Zayden Hoots for being named the John Keever Character Champion Award winner. Awarded annually to the student athletes that most exhibit the high character traits: Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Respect and Caring.

Congrats going out to Mallory Akhlaghi for being named the Diane Costabile Character Champion winner. Awarded annually to the student athlete that most exhibit the high character traits: Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Respect and Caring.

Cytres Vives took 1st place in the High Jump jumping 2.05m or 6'9' at the 3C2A Southern California Track & Field Finals.
The Men finished in 4th place overall.
On the Women's side, Ava Ball finished 2nd in the 400m hurdles.
