'Changing the engine of a Churchill tank using an 'Atherton jack', at the Royal Army Ordnance Corps workshops at Mill Hill in London, 15 March 1942.'

That's the caption for this image found on Alamy. You can see sawtooth outline of the army facilities in the distance.

It's an electricity substation building, set between the houses on Colindale Avenue and Pasteur Close. It dates from the early 1900s and was part of the old Lymph Establishment (which predated the Public Health Laboratories).

I spotted this image in an Enfield Independent online feature. It shows the Leather Bottle pub in Edgware at two different points in its life, the early 1960s and the early 1900s. That modern entrance is something else!
Sadly they didn't mention the original source.

Frith Lodge c.1907
This building stood on the corner of Frith lane and Bittacy Hill in Mill Hill East.
Glorious building, sadly long gone - Bittacy Court now takes its place.

'Road Trip to Heathrow in the 1960s' - remarkable cine footage from Capspread on YouTube
Looking at the vehicles, I'd say it's 1961-63.
Watch out for Apex Corner at 1min 39secs and South Harrow at 1min 56 seconds. My thanks to Eyeball for the heads up.

Edgware on Film - let's go back to 1973, and the TV series 'The Protectors'. The last episode 'Blockbuster', screened in March 1974, featured (fleetingly), The London Sports Car Centre, on Edgware High Street.
