During the Global Conference at NATRAX, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Additional Secretary MHI, along with Shri Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha from Niti Aayog & Dr. Manish Jaiswal, Director NATRAX, emphasized the pivotal role of MHI's Major #EV policy in shaping India's automotive electrification ecosystem.
NATRAX, under MHI, hosted a Conference on “Global Presence of Indian Test Agencies - Way Forward” in Pithampur, MP. The Conference was graced by Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Additional Secretary, MHI, Shri Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha from Niti Aayog, and leaders from Industries,Academia,& Tech Companies.
MHI recently convened a stakeholder consultation with NITI Aayog,office of Principal Scientific Adviser, Govt. of India, and industry representatives, supported by WRI India,TheICCT_India,& Office coezet to discuss a roadmap for adopting e-trucks,driving an EV transition for a #ViksitBharat & a greener future.
On National Civil Service Day, MHI extends a salute to all Civil Servants who are working tirelessly for the welfare of our nation.

In recent years, GoI and MHI have implemented various measures to enable a robust ecosystem for accelerated adoption of electric buses. This has resulted in 7,953 e-buses nationwide, with a goal of 50,000 by 2027. 🚌🔋

India stands as the world's 2nd largest hub for e-buses. The GOI’s steadfast focus on #decarbonization is propelling the swift adoption of electric buses nationwide. The commitment of both GOI and MHI to enhancing public transport has led to the adoption of 7,964 e-buses so far.
MHI has introduced the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024, allocating INR 500 crore over four months from April 1st to July 31st, 2024, to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the country.
