On April 2, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is asking voters for a $252 million increase in its revenue limit, with much of those costs funded through a hike in your property taxes.

Housing costs are high in Milwaukee, and growth will suffer with increased costs.

Vote NO on 4/2

Since 1830 (Yes, before WI was a state) small businesses paid a personal property tax on their assets. January 2024 marks the first month in WI history that businesses will not be assessed this inefficient and burdensome tax.

This from highly respected Wisconsin Policy Forum WI’s 2023 total state and local tax burden at 10% of personal income. Near its lowest in 50 years. Last decade % is as low as it’s been since 1970. Good news to ring in new year. Government has spent more over time, but income also up.
