This maker's mark tells us the potter was Dagodubnus. They created Samian ware between c.160 - 200 AD & their work has been found across Britain.

Em found this lovely piece of rotary quern stone in a huge Iron Age and Roman watering hole on National Highways A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet
Rotary querns were used to grind grain into flour. They were made up of two large circular stones & powered by hand 💪
