They requested to appear before the JUST Committee. Yet no children or youth have been invited.

Children are not mini humans with mini rights. They have the right to be protected from all forms of violence and be involved in decisions that affect their lives, including within their homes and in Parliament.

We don't allow violence against animals.

Yet the criminal code allows violence against children.

There is no violence against children that is justifiable.

Today on Parliament Hill, the Committee on Justice & Human Rights met to discuss Bill C-273, which aims to Repeal Sec 43 of the Criminal Code & end corporal punishment.

The Bill aims to protect kids from violence. Yet the Committee has not & will not be hearing from children.
