The Legislative Assembly of Ontario’s Richardson Romanesque architecture style includes many arches, including this one near our East Door. Each arch has a keystone at its apex (the last stone laid, and the one that bears the weight).

Our Georgetown and Acton Family Skates were skate-tacular! Great to see Gary Carr and later Ann Lawlor and Town Council as we celebrated a Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for HVAC upgrades at the Acton Arena. Thanks to everyone who joined us!

Richard Pierpoint (1744-1838) was taken from his home in Africa & enslaved for 20 yrs. He later served with the Black Loyalists in the American Revolutionary War & fought the Americans in the War of 1812. Courageously facing down prejudice, he lived his final years near Fergus.
