Lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to travel to Malawi again with Malawi LOL to deliver teacher training across Blantyre Urban & Rural schools!

A reflective day at Limbe TDC, facilitating discussion about what strategies we can adopt and adapt to engage more learners in our classes. We used visible thinking routines to end our session and share our experiences 💚

Day 4 of our Malawi LOL leadership training today! It was a pleasure to visit Blantyre Girls school, such a positive ethos! Rich professional dialogue and enthusiasm for effective leadership from our colleagues at Ndirande TDC. Can not believe this was our penultimate session 😢

Day 2: A lovely day spent at Ndirande TDC discussing various learning strategies and ways to foster a positive reading culture. We also explored the endless opportunities 1 book can offer, demonstrated brilliantly by our Malawian colleagues via role play 🇲🇼

Session 3 of our Malawi LOL leadership training today! We loved our little adapted Role on the Wall activity for stimulating discussions on the qualities and the roles of our leaders. Our colleagues were so engaged in identifying what effective L&T looks, sounds and feels like!

Miss McKinnon has spent the last 3 days visiting schools in rural and urban areas of Blantyre, Malawi working with lots of teachers and meeting learners. Lots of our Croftfoot pupils had big questions to ask the Malawian children. I wonder what they’ll say…
