Attended this brilliant webinar yesterday. It was just the fuel I needed for my upcoming sabbatical. Thank you to all the speakers for sharing their research and experiences - Ali Struthers Laura Lundy Dawn Watkins to mention a few.
Also mustered the willpower to present my paper in the family stream SLS Annual Conference this morning before rushing for my train. Thanks Peter Dunne & Sharon Thompson for being such lovely and encouraging chairs. #SLSBrookes23
Got lost in the conference frenzy after 2 days of conferencing but had an amazing time on day 3 and 4 #SLSBrookes23 at the family and open stream. Heard about plural relationships, parenthood, family mediation, animal law (Dr. Rachel Dunn Josh Jowitt) and the SSMP in Nigeria.
Had a brilliant day at #SLSBrookes23 attending the human rights stream and in the criminal justice stream. Very thought-provoking papers on European Public Orders, Children’s Rights (Dr Naomi Lott) and Sexual Offences. The icing on the cake was the inspiring panel discussion!
Spent Day 1 of #SLSBrookes23 at the Legal Education stream chaired by Dr Jessica Guth. Heard a range of fascinating talks including two that I’ve heard before from the amazing Dr Elisabeth Griffiths 🌻, Ali Struthers, and Lindsay Jack. Looking forward to more tomorrow!
Got a chance to immerse myself into thinking about the School Tasking Project taking place at Northumbria next academic year through an amazing Away Day organised by Ali Struthers. Such a fun and informative way to think School Tasking . Ready to get planning!
Had a lovely morning hearing from colleagues about their research at the Law & Society stream at the Northumbria B&L research conference today! So much amazing work Northumbria Law School. It’s got me inspired for the next couple of conferences I’ll be attending and presenting at.
My first post-PhD conference paper at SLSA . It was such a pleasure to present in the children’s rights stream with Rachel Heah and Dr Gift Sotonye-Frank. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the overlaps between our work and hearing about the great work they have done so far. #SLSA2023
