On , I am grateful for how his legacy & story is educating our society.

Let us never forget that Stephen Lawrence was murdered for being Black. His life & future was brutally taken from him.

We educate so it never happens again.

Growing up in South London, many of us sadly still remember Stephen Lawrence’s racist murder attack 31 yrs ago today.

On this anniversary, I am thinking about Baroness Doreen Lawrence and her family who are still fighting for justice after so many years.

Today we remember Stephen and his family’s unstinting struggle for justice.

It’s been over 5 years that Hammersmith Bridge has been closed.

I have been campaigning for its reopening consistently.

Meanwhile the Tories only come out at local or mayoral election time, pretending their dither, delay and inaction isn’t the reason repair costs are soaring…

I'm deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Daniel Alaby in Thamesmead.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. To lose a child so young is heartbreaking.

May they find strength and comfort in the love and support of our community.
