22 years ago, as a school teacher, I grappled with finding words to explain the events of 9/11 to my students. Today, as County Executive, I still feel the weight of that day. We honor the lives lost & the Montgomery County MD first responders who rushed to aid during the attack.
Thanks to D20 precinct officials for organizing Democracy Can be a Walk in the Park! Great to see Jamie Raskin and so many other elected leaders and residents for great conversations!
Happy 247th birthday, Montgomery County MD! In 1776, the Maryland General Assembly created MoCo from parts of Frederick & Prince George's Counties. We're celebrating in the office with cookies baked by the Department of Correction & Rehabilitation's newly re-established bakery program
It's a beautiful day to join Sandy Spring Friends Meeting to dedicate new solar panels, with County Executive Marc Elrich and Montgomery County Green Bank. Like our siblings the plants, let's all continue to turn towards the Light. 🌻🌱🌳
“MIH appreciates the ongoing support of Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and the Montgomery Council for helping county residents attain and maintain affordable housing.” - MIH Executive Director Tim Wiens buff.ly/43IWePS
#WearOrange weekend is a reminder to Maryland Moms Demand Action Action survivors and volunteers across the state to recommit to ending the epidemic of gun violence. It shouldn't be easier for someone to get a gun than a driver's license in this country.
.Montgomery County MD has a long history of being an open and inclusive place for the LGBTQ+ community. I'm proud to stand with Montgomery County, MD CAO Rich Madaleno and Montgomery Council as we raise the Pride flag in Rockville and begin another Pride Month.
It's great to see so many people involved in today's walk through Wheaton focused on public safety, economic development and transit.
Governor Wes Moore
MDTransportationDept Secretary Paul Wiedefeld
Maryland Commerce Secretary Kevin Anderson
Thank you, Natali Fani-González for setting up this walk.
