I just finished teaching a short course on copyright and disruptive technologies. I prepared reading materials on copyright and AI for it and thought they might be useful for those who want to learn about or teach the topic.

To pass a comprehensive federal privacy law, Congress should give up the stubborn fixation on preemption. This worked for HIPAA and other laws. If the federal law is strong and states can enforce, states will stop passing privacy laws.

Excited to finally announce: I have accepted a job with Sony AI as a Research Scientist on their AI Ethics team! I have the amazing opportunity to be the first ever HCI RS on the team, working on topics like: ethical data collection, computer vision, and genAI.
