The election of the London Mayor for the 3rd term shows that adopting health justice oriented policies like tackling poor air quality, banning junk food ads & universalising free school meals is good politics. Sadiq Khan ignored the propaganda & went ahead with change. It worked!

As a Scottish Londoner I’m delighted that Sadiq Khan has been re-elected as Mayor. The tories ran a disgraceful racist campaign - thankfully it didn’t work in our our great diverse capital city UNISON - UK's largest union

Wouldn’t it be great if politicians in all parties put aside division, hate,fear & embraced British values of compassion, inclusion, & cooperation.
Politics can be a force for good if the starting point is

•tolerance of those of different faiths & beliefs

BREAKING: Sadiq Khan has won record third term as London mayor, beating Tory Susan Hall by 11.1 points (around 280,000 votes), final results confirm.

It’s his biggest lead yet - Khan beat Shaun Bailey in 2021 by 4.7 points and Zac Goldsmith in 2016 by 9.2 points.
