Final: Phillies 11, Nats 5. A weekend sweep to extend the losing streak to 5 games, and a conclusion to a 2-7 road trip. Every game was close, until today.

3 hits for the Nats the first 8 innings. 4 hits already in the 9th, still only 1 out. They still need 3 more baserunners, though, before the boys are officially battling.

Rainey: 2 walks to open the inning, then two flyball outs (one a double robbed by a leaping Young at the wall), then a 3-run homer by Bohm. It's 11-3.

Here comes Tanner Rainey for his first game appearance in 15 days. He's been healthy and on the active roster the entire time.

Barnes walks Stott, gives up a single to Harper and then gives up a game-tying sac fly to Bohm. It's 3-3 and now Davey will bring in Garcia to face Clemens. If he was willing to use his only lefty in the 5th, why not earlier with Schwarber-Stott-Harper all batting in a row?

Davey Martinez let Trevor Williams start the 5th, but after a lineout to center and a full-count walk of Kyle Schwarber, he pulls his starter at a season-high 97 pitches. It'll be Jacob Barnes to face Bryston Stott and Bryce Harper.

Only 2 runs allowed, but Trevor Williams is already up to 83 pitches after 4 innings, with the Phillies' 9-1-2 hitters due up in the 5th. Will be interested to see how Davey Martinez handles this.
