How does a skin cell become melanoma? We built one to find out, to help understand this lethal disease. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… Science Magazine W/ co-1st Elena Torlai T, John Kwon, & senior author Aviv Regev. Early years joint w/ Levi A. Garraway. And many others in last tweet! 🧵 1/18
(1/6) our preprint biorxiv.org/content/10.110… is now out in Science Magazine science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Using super-res live-imaging we show that CTCF/cohesin loops are dynamic (~10-30 min median lifetime), rare (~3-6.5% looped fraction), and we fully parameterize a TAD.
Our enhancer mobilization paper is now online @nature!

The effect of an enhancer depends on its genomic distance from the promoter through a nonlinear relationship with their contact probabilities, likely mediated by transient physical interactions.

I am very excited to announce that I am opening my lab for systems tissue pathology at Weizmann Institute ! We will use multiplexed imaging and AI to interrogate tumor-immune interactions and the tumor microenvironment, and... we are recruiting! weizmann.ac.il/mcb/Keren/
Our Crohn's disease scRNA-seq paper is online! We report on a cellular module comprising of immune & stromal cells enriched in patients resistant to anti-TNF therapy.
