Using open-source Miniscopes (Miniscope Team), we recorded hundreds to thousands of hippocampal neurons across days as mice learned, stored & recalled multiple experiences, measured by groups of co-active neurons (ensembles). 2/n

CAI LAB PREPRINT🧠! In a team effort led by Joe Zaki, we found that rest periods after learning not only stabilize new memories BUT ALSO integrate new memories with older memories from days past! 1/n

Excited to share our preprint, the work I’ve done in Golshani lab Peyman Golshani. Using UCLA Miniscope, I explored NAc neural representation of social interaction and identified representational deficit in Cntnap2 KO mice. More exciting results are coming! Stay tuned.
