Excited to share my PhD work in Peyman Golshani 's lab designing and building low-cost miniature 2P microscopes with everyone! They cost < $10k USD (even at low production runs), are fitted with 2 on-board SiPM detectors, and are completely open-source! 1/5 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Using open-source Miniscopes (Miniscope Team), we recorded hundreds to thousands of hippocampal neurons across days as mice learned, stored & recalled multiple experiences, measured by groups of co-active neurons (ensembles). 2/n
Excited to share our preprint, the work I’ve done in Golshani lab Peyman Golshani. Using UCLA Miniscope, I explored NAc neural representation of social interaction and identified representational deficit in Cntnap2 KO mice. More exciting results are coming! Stay tuned.
