With this flat/comminuted burst fracture I was concerned about cement leakage limiting how much I could fill. to the rescue! This system allowed partial height restoration and control of cement in a really small space. Especially great tool for these types of cases

Using the paramaxillary approach to aspirate a large deep parotid cyst. A satisfying procedure as patients will usually feel immediate relief and decreased facial fullness

Sometimes the weirdest tidbits pique my interest in neurorads. For example, seeing this patient’s ears and knowing he’s likely experienced a few fistfights. Also realizing he was likely fighting a right handed individual (left ear shows more chronic damage)- “cauliflower ear”

I did an image-guided lumbar puncture recently on a person who was chronically blind from known idiopathic intracranial hypertension. I asked her how many lumbar punctures she had in the past.
She answered 28.
How many were 'horrible'? I asked.
She answered 25.
I know its all

Disagreement in grading stenosis can lead to confusion on f/u spine MRIs. The more important piece of info to convey is whether or not the stenosis has changed - something we found that radiologists have good agreement on Troy Hutchins Lubdha Shah

I tell trainees that ours is the only job that is nearly 100% documented. Surgeon can choose what to report from the OR, internist from a physical exam, path can have sampling error from a gross, and even IR can choose which images to save. Diagnostic imaging is a humbling field
