Yesterday, I co-signed a letter in the The Globe and Mail calling on Canada's political leaders to improve civility in public discourse and mend divisions.

Canadian democracy can't thrive unless our leaders are civil, respectful, and prioritize social peace.

Here are the highest paid City of Ottawa employees based on my analysis of the 2023 Sunshine list.

City Manager Wendy Stephenson is the highest paid at $405,903.36.

4 of the 6 highest paid employees are with Ottawa Police Services.

This one goes out to the caregivers of a loved one or those who work within the care industry. The lack of government support for carers is absolutely disgusting, despite it being one of the most important roles in society. To all you carers - you are absolutely magnificent. ♥️

The City is asking for feedback about its tree planting programs. There is info & a survey - open until Apr 15.

I believe we must focus on protecting mature trees, as well as planting new ones. We need both sides of this coin to protect our urban forest.

I continue to stand up for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians against the federal carbon tax.

I am now asking Ottawa to pause its planned increase to the carbon tax, set for April 1st, as the high cost of living is enough of a burden on families.
