I had planned on sharing a vlog today. I wanted to tell all those mothers separated from their children, whether temporarily or permanently that I was thinking of them,that today could be incredibly hard. I was going to advise that they take care of themselves and send my love.

Then Mothers Day hit me. Of my three children, I am blessed to have one living with me, one back in my life & one sadly absent. I expected today to be easier. It's not. It hurts just as much as it did every single one of the 20 years since I was forced to say goodbye to my eldest

So today while I am thinking of others and definitely sending my love, I am focusing on me & how I feel. I am doing whatever it takes to get through today. Some years I smile, some years I cry - every year I grieve for what was, what could have been and what never can be again xx
