Arboretum tree experts are grafting Lincoln Park Zoo’s
historic bur oak tree, which was dying and removed in spring 2023. With careful cutting, taping, sealing and care, we have successfully united bur oak seedlings with twigs from the zoo’s tree to create new bur oaks!
