A 6th Former emailed me today to check something I told them because it conflicted with a detail in the textbook. I love it when they do that, especially when I'm right (which I was, of course). Irritating to find yet another mistake in the textbook, though.

A girl in Yr 11 told me my hair looked good today. Since my hair is always distinctly unremarkable in appearance I suspect she was trying distract me from an extra pair of earrings she was wearing or something, but I'll take it.

Found a woodlouse in my Hessian bag this morning. Had to take the bag with me to staff briefing in order to release the creature safely outside en route. Having unintentionally intervened in its life, I now feel curiously invested in its wellbeing.
