“A lion has roared; who will not fear?
The Lord GOD has spoken; who will not prophesy?”

Amos was no professional prophet, but when God spoke, he knew he was called to speak it, too. All who hear the roaring of his Word must speak it, no matter what the professional prophets say.

“Our camps are places of much prayer and afford many shining examples of Christian consistency.”
Robert L. Dabney

Except that Dabney was morally inconsistent in believing that he could own another made in the image of God. May the Lord expose all myths and genealogies like his.

The Scribes: Who can forgive sins but God alone?

Jesus: Watch this.

Mark 2:1-12 demonstrates that through his healing ministry Jesus is the eternal God come in flesh.

“He was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.”
Daniel 7:14

The ultimate battle for the universe, as for the souls of human beings, is not over the inerrancy of Scripture (although that is true), nor over gender roles (seriously, boys), but over the honor and majesty and authority and worship of the only Lord, Jesus Christ.

The bill that Congress passed does not make the Bible illegal. Christians pushing that idea are spreading false information. The bill takes into account one’s intent in saying that Jews killed Jesus. If it’s to stir up Jew hatred, it’s forbidden. If teaching the NT, it’s fine.

If we who are called to be teachers do not contend earnestly for our Lord Jesus Christ, exalting his name, defending his honor, magnifying his divine authority, preserving his unity of person and his fullness of Godhead and assumed humanity, then we are to be pitied as failures.

The Lord’s call upon my life has always been to train the leaders of his church. I rejoice greatly when my students are elected as pastors, professors, provosts, and presidents, and when they sign contracts to publish. But mostly I rejoice that they honor Christ as our Lord God.

Jesus Christ has the entirety of divine authority. As man he died; as God he conquered death.

“I lay down my life so that I may take it back. No one has taken it away from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back.”

Acts of Antisemitism in the United States should always be deemed illegal. Please pass this legislation, Senate Republicans and Senate Democrats.

Thank you, @erlc, for representing Southern Baptists in promoting the dignity of our fellow human beings.

We are called to “contend earnestly” for the faith once for all passed down. And know that false teachers work by stealth for this purpose: To “deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

Exalt “only” Christ!
Exalt no other man!
Rebuke all who distort or diminish his lordship!

The sentiments of the Declaration of Independence, a document authored by men from common grace, is ultimately for all human beings equally—black and white, male and female, ancient immigrant (my American Indian ancestors) and more recent immigrant (my European ancestors) alike.

The aim of the missionary is not to win the heathen, not to be useful, but to do God’s will. He does win the heathen, and he is useful, but that is not his aim; his aim is to do the will of his Lord. - Oswald Chambers
