April 26th, 2024 – The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) has awarded an expansion franchise to the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) Athletics Group and community of Devon, AB for the 2024-25 season.

NAX would like to welcome Defenseman, Liam Eisnor back to the program for the 2024/25 season. Liam played an exceptional U17 season on the NAX Prep blue team last year, earning 22 points in 25 games played. We want to wish Liam all the best in the upcoming season with the U18’s.

NAX would like to welcome Forward, Ben Deacon back to the program. Ben spent the 2023/24 season with the U17 White team picking up 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 total points. We want to wish Ben the best of luck next season with the U18 Prep team.

NAX would like to welcome Forward, Brady Whitehead back to the program for the 2024/25 season.

Brady had a successful year U17 Prep last season, scoring 19 goals and earning 23 assists for 42 total points! We want to wish Brady a successful season ahead as part of U18 Prep.

NAX would like to welcome Darius Hordal back to the program for the 2024/25 season. Darius played on the U17 white team last season & earned 25 total points in 29 games played. Darius also joined the U18's for 8 games where he earned himself 4 assists. Welcome back Darius!

NAX would like to welcome Mats Lajoie back to the program with the U18 team for the 24/25 season. Mats played on the U17 Blue team last season & earned 46 points in 30 games played. Mats also joined the U18's for 6 games where he earned himself 6 more points with 4 G & 2 A.

NAX would like to welcome Defenceman, Kayne Wright back to the program. Kayne played on the U15 Prep team last season and ended the year with an impressive 19 points in 26 games played. Kayne has secured a roster spot on the NAX U18 Prep team for the 2024/25 season.

NAX would like to welcome Forward, Riley Thorpe back to the program. Riley finished his U17 year with an impressive 39 points in 29 games played. Riley has secured a roster spot on the NAX U18 Prep team for the 2024/25 season. Good luck in the season ahead Riley.

NAXHockey U15 Prep: Jaggar John - Northern Alberta Xtreme

John finished the playoffs with a record 19 points in 5 games, surpassing Kyle Crnkovic's record of 18. John would lead NAX to their second straight U15 Prep Championship with four assists and the OT winner

U15: Bronsyn Mouille- NAX

NAX cruised to their second straight U15 Western Championship and was led offensively by Mouille and his 21 points, 6 more than the next highest. The Peace River, AB forward had 62 points in 26 regular season games.
