Two outstanding softball pitchers battled to a duel Thursday. Portsmouth ND Softball beat Hillsboro 2-0 in 12 innings on a 12th inning home run by Gwen Sparks. Sparks also fanned 27 batters while Hillsboro’s Camryn Spruell struck out 23. Spruell has 306 strikeouts this season.
