As an archive, we tend to be full to the brim with ‘old stuff’! One interesting item is a document from 1679-80 containing sewn-in flannel swatches of varying colours. These pattern samples belong to a Mr. Dunn for use at the ‘Naples or Salerno faire’. D/SH/1169 #OldStuffDay
