How to drive civic leadership and impact in the current climate? Good to discuss how sectors such as the NHS can help support the wider civic university movement at the National Civic Impact Accelerator Advisory Board meeting at Queen Mary University of London today.

From inner city canals to country estates and an actual RAF base, the Birmingham to Shrewsbury train line has it all. Lovely looking pub at Codsall station too.

Absolutely agree with this!

I am skeptical of the idea that existing inter-departmental working can drive a cross-govt. approach to health, but outsourcing most policy and strategy to a non-departmental public body makes it even harder...

Lots of good maps and tables in this explainer. I particularly like this one showing the responsibilities of different layers of government.

Really important report from Centre for Mental Health quantifying the costs of mental ill health in England and was a pleasure to peer review the work. *Huge* numbers but that shouldn't be a surprise - now needs political and operational focus.
