Had a beautiful morning with my husband at the Redfern Community Centre's (RCC) 20th Birthday Celebration. It was so nice to catch up with friends. Uncle Brendan Kerin gave a beautiful Welcome to Country and Aunty Beryl Van-Oploo expressed beautifully why the RCC is so vital.

Every time we hear about this wonderful cross-cultural research relationship it makes us feel very happy. This is a beautiful story highlighting the value of Indigenous and academic respectful collaborations.

Last year Bachelor of Science (Astronomy, Astrophysics and Chemistry) student Claudia Fava was in the audience, this year she presented on stage.

Now researchers at the Nanotech Laboratory Macquarie University School of Engineering  & Smart Green Cities at Macquarie University have developed robust #nanosensing technology to detect low concentrations of #ethylene gas molecules at room temperature...tech which could help to improve plant health and growth.

We are proud to have been able to support students from @nisep01 schools, Casino and Lismore HS (see photo below), and from Chifley College Mt Druitt campus, to attend the Science Experience Macquarie University to give them STEM opportunities and build leadership skills.
