He has less than three months to live, and each day he wears the brightest shirt and great sunshades.

He says to me as he walks outside with the coolest stride, “For the dark moments in life, you need to pep it up a bit”,with a big smile on his face.

He is living while dying.

Last week I met a new nurse, and she said, “I have heard all about you, and I am so proud for us”. She is also a woman of colour.

I realized that my small achievements mean something much bigger than me…

We all inspire each other in ways we don’t even know.

He told stories of living on the streets. Stories of strength and hope.

His experiences were heartbreaking yet inspiring.
