Tbh I don’t blame the lass, she’s probably oblivious and a bit of a divvie. The club are completely at blame for this. Honestly the amount of staff tickets going around is a farce. It’s ok if we’re struggling but people haven’t got a ticket in the ballot all season.

Nearly as good as that overhead kick from one of those 3 lads in bright wigs who invaded the pitch every game during 92-93.

NUFC 1980-1994 A day of all for one and one for all with both our players and fans in it together.
The result was immaterial in the end.
It was about defending Geordie Pride

32 years today since that remarkable day at the Baseball ground played out to an incredible atmosphere. Everything that could go wrong for did go wrong. But a bond was built between the team and supporters that would ensure survival and lift off.

The Hillsborough disaster told through the eyes of Des Lynam, who was in the stadium that afternoon for the BBC.

This was broadcast in 2009 for the 20th anniversary. Both powerful and heartbreaking.

A day that nobody will ever forget. ❤️
