Thanks to a strong El Niño the first three months of 2024 (Jan 1 to Mar 31st) were wetter & cooler than normal for SE Arizona per the recent release of data from NOAA NCEI. For Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz & Greenlee counties, it's the wettest Jan-Mar period since 2010. #azwx

A trend? For the 4th straight March, the average temperature for SE Arizona was below normal, per latest release of data from NOAA NCEI.

On the precipitation side, all counties were above normal except Cochise county. Greenlee county recorded its wettest March since 1998. #azwx

🌡️⬆️Temperatures are on the rise with the warmest day this week still on track to be Thursday! Currently there is a 50% chance of reaching 90°F. The 90s won't stick around too long as the temperatures begin to cool down to near normal by the weekend. #azwx
