Debbie Leatherland NE Chief Scientist explains importance of confidence in #eDNA data for end-users. Open-access methods and clear, detailed reporting crucial for reproducibility and understanding. Without this, results can be undermined and #eDNA uptake will be slower #UKDNAWG24

Interesting talk by Nathan Griffiths on the use of integrating #eDNA into site condition monitoring for freshwater fish. Can eDNA meet the necessary metrics & data recommendations needed? Need a baseline study and minimum sample numbers based on metrics needing to be met #UKDAWG24

Very interesting talk by Micaela Hellstrom on collecting #eDNA from snow prints for multiple cryptic species eg polar bears. Less invasive than traditional methods & works well! Clean DNA collected and no effect from UV. Genotyping possible! Also looking at food signals #UKDNAWG24
