For today’s we are heading to the Souter Lighthouse in Northumbria. Two Lighthouse Keeper Cottages stand at the landward end of the 75 foot Lighthouse, built in 1871, to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel.

This handaxe was recently found on an Wight Coast Fossils walk & reported to the local archaeological team. Reporting means you can find out what you've discovered & help us understand our shared past.
What might you find on a guided fossil walk? Book a place at bit.ly/NTFossil

For today’s , we are heading to Cornwall and the 1860s Trelissick Water Tower. At four storeys high and yet with only one room on each floor, a stay at Trelissick Water Tower is like no other.

Our April theme is holidays! Whether it’s a spring break, a summer getaway or a cosy winter trip, we hope you’ll enjoy our virtual visits to some historic buildings, starting in Norfolk with the Blacksmith’s Cottage Blickling Hall.
