Huge congrats to Mark Cubitt & Roy Leverton on the release of their new book - The Larger Moths of Scotland 🏴
Mark popped in today to gift us a copy for the library. Thank you! 😊📗 #MothsMatter
One of the great things about NatSCA conferences is the chance to catch up with old & meet new colleagues - Rob Douglas is the Diptera (& IPM & bird) curator at Oxford University Museum of Natural History - we finally met & are hatching collaborative plans!

We get a lot of questions in natural history #museums . The Booth Museum Bts invited visitors to write their Qs on postcards, then staff wrote the answers on the cards, and then put them in albums back in the gallery. [I spy one about platypuses🤓] A great talk at #NatSCA2024 .
Thank you Oxford University Museum of Natural History for generously hosting #NatSCA2024 . Wonderful to catch up with everyone in this spectacular museum!
Last tour and last thing of #Natsca2024 rounding off two days of talks & networking Oxford University Museum of Natural History with the natural history museum sector. Happy (but exhausted). We've heard about the amazing work of thousands of colleagues in recent years across museums of all sizes.
Sophia Nicolov talks about her fellowship at NHM. Useful to have historians and humanities researchers working alongside natural scientists to bring different perspectives and research approaches, allowing a greater breadth and depth of contextual understanding #natsca2024
Charlotte Wood offered a thought-provoking perspective on displaying natural history using thematic approaches, to address tangible and intangible biases and colonial legacies. #natsca2024
