Last week we spent a very enjoyable and stimulating couple of days discussing the links between resilience and transformation in climate change planning. Lots of great chats, post-its and stickers. Thanks to all involved, and we got to experience Maynooth in March sunshine too.

Easy to criticise MPs so I want to shout from the rooftops about how incredible Ben Bradshaw has been as my MP these last four weeks. In probably the toughest time of my life, I've had an MP responding efficiently and empathetically, then pushing relentlessly and selflessly

This is so important. It shouldn't need to be said but adult lives aren't any less justified of protection also & the profound destruction of place has deep multi-generational effects on land, nature and people (e.g. journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…).

An interesting new behavioral science study — with ~60,000 participants across over 60 countries — looks at how different climate messages affect people.

Not surprisingly, “doom & gloom” messages were shown to be highly shareable, but counterproductive to taking action.
