Announcing this awesome paper by Jasmine Mirdamadi with NPRL! Individual differences in cortical beta power are associated with whole-body functional motion perception, whereas modulation of evoked cortical responses relate to balance ability. jneurosci.org/content/44/15/…

An NIH advisory group announced today that they're recommending the agency boost its minimum salary to $70,000, up from the current $56,484. Many postdocs feel 'underpaid and overworked,' a co-chair said.

Our new framework describing how fear of falling turns maladaptive (from protective) is finally out in Age_and_Ageing. Final paper from my Fellowship with Will Young and mark wilson (and Elmar Kal). Probably the one I am most proud of. academic.oup.com/ageing/article…

Yes, and conversely if you're studying movement you'll need to understand how memory, sensory processing, cognition, and emotion affect how we adapt our movements.
Oh and seriously Mackenzie has it only been 6 years since your PhD to you ruling the field now?

At SfN for the first time? Here's some tips. YMMV.
- stay at your poster the whole 4h
- introduce yourself to people
- talk into the microphone
- go visit the vendors
- go see plenary lectures
- don't limit yourself to your subfield
