we have been able to open Cunard Road River Access
and Glade Creek Road for visitors to use. Turkey Spur
Road at Grandview is still closed.

Sandstone Visitor Center- open weekends only 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Canyon Rim Visitor Center- open daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thurmond Depot and Grandview Visitor Centers are closed for the season. They are expected to re-open Memorial Day Weekend 2022

PARK ALERT: Emergency Safety Repairs to Cunard River Access Rd.
The first phase of this project will be October 24 - November 5, 2021. Travelers should expect minor delays.

PARK ALERT: CSX will be working on the railroad crossing at Thurmond on Tuesday, June 1st. Pedestrians access will be permitted, however, there will no vehicle access across the tracks until 9:00 pm tonight.

You may still visit the Thurmond Depot and walk downtown.

PARK ALERT: Fayette Station Road will be closed to vehicle traffic during a 10K race event on Saturday, May 15th from 6:00 am - 10:00 am. The closure will be from the Lansing Loop and Fayette Station Rd. intersection to the intersection of Fayette Station Rd. and Rt 19.

PARK ALERT: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve Fire Managers plan to burn approximately 40 acres at Grandview sometime between April 17 and May 31. This prescribed burn will help to maintain the field environment.
