The Heat Policy Innovation Hub at Duke University has partnered with NCORR, NC Climate Office, and NCDHHS to develop tools to help North Carolina communities plan for and respond to extreme heat.
'I hope other states will follow North Carolina's lead,' said hub director Ashley Ward, PhD.
