Nicole Krum So when I go longer than 24 hours, my first meal is a small one, high protein and fat, low carb. So my last 48 hr fast, for example, I broke the fast with a single grilled chicken thigh, lightly seasoned… and it filled me up. I didn’t eat again until breakfast the next day.
