On April 4, 1966 Provincial Constable John R. 'Bob' Maki was shot and killed with his own revolver after a struggle with a mentally ill patient at the Royal Ottawa Psychiatrict Hospital. Bob is always remembered for his service and sacrifice. #HeroesInLife
The OPP Association remembers the service and sacrifice of OPP Senior Constable Michael W. Gula who died in the line of duty on April 2, 1996 when struck by a vehicle on the QEW near Niagara Falls. He was five months away from retirement after an exemplary career. #HeroesInLife
On March 31, 1975 OPP Provincial Constable Alan. G. Thompson was on traffic patrol and following a violator when he tragically died when his police cruisier was struck by a train in Kemptville, Ontario. His serice and sacrifice is always remembered. #HeroesInLife
